My sincere condolences to the survivors of Ms. Brooks on her untimely passing. I was a colleague of hers at Eastern Regional High School where we worked closely within the History Department. She was a nurturing and caring teacher who was noted for her compassion and concern for her students. Brenda also helped bring wonderful presentations to Eastern for the education and enjoyment of the community. For instance, she was instrumental in bringing a gospel chorale from the United States Military Academy at West Point during a Christmas season one year. I attended their recital and was impressed by the positive experience it provided all of us in attention. May God have mercy on this fine lady's soul.
