Obituary of Jacqueline J. Steele

Please share a memory of Jacqueline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jacqueline Jennifer Steele was born on February 4, 1954, in Kingston, Jamaica, WI, to Millicent Savage. She passed December 7, 2024, at the age of 70. She was a cherished family member, a loyal friend, and an inspiring force in her community. Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Millicent Savage; her husband, Julian Steele; her aunt, Marva Henry; her two nephews, Anton Morgan and Arian Howell-Morgan; her niece, Antonette Morgan; as well as her great niece and nephew, Michelle Morgan and Roman Morgan. She also leaves behind an abundance of loving stepchildren, brothers, cousins and friends who will miss her deeply. Jacqueline migrated to the United States of America with a degree and a passion for teaching. She later transitioned into a rewarding career as a government office worker for MTA Bridges and Tunnels, where she dedicated herself to her work and made a lasting impact on those around her. Jacqueline lived a life rich in love, service, and adventure. A true lover of travel, she spent her years exploring the world on cruises, road trips and by plane. Always seeking new horizons and enriching her life with unforgettable experiences. She captured the hearts of many who’ve had the pleasure of coming in contact with her. Jackie was a constant source of support for friends, family, and even strangers in need. Throughout her life, Jackie was an avid volunteer, dedicating countless hours to causes that mattered to her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether through charitable work or simply being there for those who needed her. Her deep sense of compassion and generosity made her a beloved figure in every community she touched. As a lifeguard, Jackie had an innate love for swimming and the water, often found at the beach or poolside, where she not only excelled at her craft but also took great pride in helping others learn to swim and stay safe in the water. Her dedication to others was unwavering, and she would fight for those in need, whether in the water or in everyday life. Her retirement years were filled with comfort, love, and happiness. She found peace in the company of her loved ones near and far, always welcoming them with open arms, whether for a quiet chat or a fun adventure. Family was her greatest joy, and she never missed an opportunity to show up for the people who meant the most to her. Jackie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed but will always be remembered for her adventurous spirit, selflessness, and the unwavering love she gave to all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in a place where her heart will continue to travel, be with her departed sister Michelle Howell-Morgan and inspiring others as she always did. Rest in peace, Jackie. You will be forever in our hearts
