In 1984, Katherine met and married the love of her life, the late Myron Briscoe (of Washington, DC), at her favorite place, Atlantic City, NJ. Together, they spent 38 wonderful years together until his death in January of 2023.
Katherine loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, church members, and friends. She was the Matriarch of the family, and anyone who came in her path was loved and taken care of.
Katherine loved family gatherings, cooking and eating crabs, catfish, barbecue ribs (no sauce), chitterlings, and cucumbers/tomatoes marinated in vinegar. She also loved to cook her vegetable soup on cold winter days and was often asked to make Chicken and Dumplings (from scratch) which was “Oh so delicious". Katherine was a very picky eater.
