Alice Searles Ingalls was born in Camden, NJ on August 11, 1932, to Ella and Henry Searles. She was the 5th youngest of 18 children. Alice was educated in the Camden City School System and later found love and married Wallace Ingalls Sr. on August 25, 1950. Alice was mother to 8 Beautiful Children, Louis, Yvonne -“Bonnie” (D), Toni (D), Lela – “Sissie”, Wallace Jr – Skip, William – “Billy” (D) Robin- “Bobbie”, and Precyous. Alice chose a career in Education where she was a Teacher’s Aide at Camden High School. She was known for her Incredible Excellence as a mathematical genius. She later became an Administrative Assistant and worked in the Camden City Hall of Justice and the Twitter Center before finally retiring. Her Hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, playing the organ and completing cryptograms. Alice was always excited about spreading the word of God and attended services at Nazarene Baptist church where she was a long-time member and later found fellowship at the New Micke Baptist Church. During her time at both churches, she volunteered with many outreach programs and aided in the assistance with many displaced and less fortunate. This strong and amazing woman is survived by her youngest sister, Minister Marcella Searls Lewis of Chandler, Arizona, and a host of nieces & nephews, her 5 Adult children, Louis, Sissie, Wallace, Robin & Precyous, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
