Obituary of Yvonne Hollingsworth
Please share a memory of Yvonne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Yvonne “Sandy” Hollingsworth, daughter of the late Mabel Brown and the late William Hollingsworth was born in Camden, New Jersey on January 03, 1952. She attended Holy Name School and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Yvonne passed away on January 21, 2025 at her home in Pennsauken.
Yvonne Hollingsworth and the late William Collins had two children. KK Hollingsworth and Netta Hollingsworth. To let her tell it she would say that she had four children, Frakquan “Monty” and Woo-Woo, no matter what anyone said they were her kids.
Yvonne loved Bingo and walking everywhere talking to everybody. She loved her animals She loved her nieces and nephews. Always talking about Toya is looked alike and Nashemia and Neesha, Nakia, about the kitten she just gave her. She always talked about her sister Peachy and brother Georgie. We are all going to remember her taking us to bingo or taking the bus, and don’t take the bus too long because she would start walking until the bus came. She would talk to you so much that you would be so interested and the next time you looked up you were at your destination and could forget about the bus. I remember one time we were in Philly, Yvonne Evette and Pam. The bus was coming and Evette and Pam started chasing the bus down to stop. They almost got hit to get home. They must have thought that Yvonne was going to tell them “Let’s walk” so they chased the bus.
She was preceded her in death by two brothers Charles Brown, and Guy Hollingsworth, the baby boy and three sisters Delores, and Pamela Hollingsworth, and Jeanette Adams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son KK and her daughter Netta. Grandchildren Frakquan “Monty” Hollingsworth, Karon Smith, Jr. Anthony Fernandez, Kwazeek Fisher, Kazmeck Hollingsworth, Jr. 2 Great Grandchildren; Fiance’ Gregory Blanton; She also leaves behind 1 sister; Diane “Peachy” Hollingsworth, 3 brothers Georgie Hollingsworth (Evette), Mark Hollingsworth, and Houston Hollingsworth.
I love and miss you so much. I wish you were here with us. But I guess it was time for you to go home to the lord and see everyone in heaven. I know I’m suppose d to be strong but my heart is broken it hurts so much. I look at the boys and they all remind me of you. The boys are taking it hard. I will tell them you are in a better place now. No more pain and suffering. You are up In heaven walking around looking down over us. Tell Mommy and William, Guy, Betty, Niheem and Jahid we said hi. Hug your grandson Armando, III you are there with him now. Lets not say goodbye cause goodbye is forever, until we meet again love you. P.S. Like you will always say to the boys keep a cool head and be a good boy!
