Queenie Foxworth Dewitt age 86 passed away on January 29, 2025
at the Royal Suite Healthcare at Rehabilitation facility Galloway
Township, N.J She was born on January 14, 1939 to Robert Foxworth
and Roseanne Moore Foxworth in the city of Marion South Carolina
Queenie touched the lives of those she came in contact with strength,
resilience and a joyful spirit. Despite health challenges she remained a devoted
friend to all who knew her. Throughout her life, Queenie embodied kindness
and compassion. Queenie’s generosity and kindness left a mark on the hearts
of family and friends alike. Queenie’s legacy of love, kindness, and laughter
will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life journey.
Queenie grew up in Marion South Carolina. She attended
Marion Training school, and then Johnakin High School. After
school Queenie moved to Ocean City New Jersey where she was
a chambermaid and housekeeping supervisor at the Pier (4) motel.
Queenie is survived by One Daughter: Denise Foxworth Whitfield,
One Son: Tyron Foxworth: (6) Grandchildren, Carmen, Terry, Ryan,
Toi, Ubaidullah, & Zulaika: (26)Great grandchildren, and host of
nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews, and cousins, along
with special friends Fran Johnson, Sonia Hodge Yancey, Pamela Hodge.
Queenie’s laughter and memory will live on in the in the hearts of those
who knew her. And, her strength and resilience will continue to inspire
generations to come.
Queenie is predeceased by her daughter Tosh G. Dewitt,
Brother Percy Foxworth, Sister: Magnolia Foxworth-Davis Fleming, Sister:
Aggienora Foxworth-Davis, Brother: Stafford Foxworth, Brother Lester
Foxworth, Sister: Roberta Foxworth Jiggets, Brother: Johnny Foxworth.
