Beatrice V. Rawls Obituary

Beatrice V. Rawls went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Dooly County Georgia on January 14,1932, to the Late Cornelius and Ella Mae Masning.

She was married to Charlie C. Lester and of this union had two daughters; her second husband, Zebedee Rawls, and of this union had four boys. She later married Harry Myers. She joined New Bethel Baptist Church of Unadilla, Georgia where her love for singing started; and her love for doing hair.

Later she moved to New Jersey where she worked and joined St. Matthews Baptist church in Williamstown New Jersey. She worked as a CTS at Vineland Development Center until she retired. Her heart and home were always open to everyone that came into her life; therefore, she had many God Children. She loved cooking, gardening; and helping people that were in need. She always said she was here for the ones that were in need. She had a heart of gold and scarified her wants for those in need.

She was predeceased by her son, Normandy Rawls, sister, Chalie Mae Burnam, three brothers: Alonzo, Freddie, and Linton

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Gwendolyn Hawkins of Sicklerville New Jersey and Phyllis Johnson (Howard) of Dolomite Alabama; four sons: Zackary Rawls of Williamstown, New Jersey; Normandy Rawls (deceased); Kenneth Rawls (Jacquetta) of Clementon, New Jersey and Zebedee Rawls of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Ella Goode; three brothers, L.C. Holmes, Arnell Holmes, and Michael Holmes, a loving sister-in-law, Huggie Flemming, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and god children.
