Obituary of Dr. Winston G Lindsey

Please share a memory of Dr. Winston to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dr. Winston Garland Lindsey was born in Evergreen, Alabama on September 17,1956 to Benjamin Garland Lindsey and Amanda Marie Lindsey. He was the only boy and the second child of three children. Even as a young boy, Winston has always enjoyed the liberty of being outside, close to nature, exploring various new adventures and aligning himself with every aspect of landscape while experiencing God in His creation. Eventually, Winston and his family move to Dayton, Ohio where he passionately played sports and attended the Local public schools which included graduating from Fairview High School, in the class of 1974. After receiving a track and field scholarship, Winston moved to California to attend Los Angeles City College. In 1980, Dr. Winston Lindsey married his friend and the love of his life, Dr. Drucilla Lindsey. Together they have two wonderful sons, Weyldon and Waldron Lindsey. Following their first year of marriage they founded Friends Fellowship Ministries while residing in Long Beach, California. Their Ministry is one where God has free course to move by the power of the Holy Spirit to enlighten, inspire and to lead the people of God into freedom and truth. Dr. Lindsey is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of International Christian University, in the Jameson School of Theology, with a Master of arts degree in Biblical Counseling, a Doctor of Theology degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biblical Studies. He has also diligently studied under great Bible teachers including the greatest teacher Himself: The Holy Spirit of God. Dr. Lindsey is an Educator, and he has taught for many years for several Boards of Education. For the last 44 years, he along with his wife has actively presided over Friends Fellowship Ministries Church services, Bible studies, Pastoral Counseling, Conferences and Community Outreach Ministries. Dr. Lindsey has a great passion for cultivating his beautiful plants, flowers, and trees, especially in the Prayer Garden, the Secret Garden and all of the wonderful gardens surrounding the estate. He has often spoke about experiencing and seeing the awesome glory of God being revealed and magnified through His matchless creation. For many years, Dr. Lindsey has taken good quality time to relax on his private lake and meditate through prayer, praise and total worship while catching huge amounts of fish only to share, exclusively, with so many others. On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Dr. Winston Garland Lindsey left his earthly body, to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Bejamin Garland Lindsey, and his younger sister, Erica Michelle Pace. He leaves to cherish his memory, a beloved wife of 45 years, Dr. Drucilla Evans Lindsey; two loving sons, Weyldon Garland Lindsey, and Waldron Garland Lindsey; a loving granddaughter, Dakota Elyse Lindsey (Boo Boop); a dear mother Amanda Marie Lindsey; an older sister Denise Yvonne Lindsey; and many precious Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
