Obituary of Salahuddin Dockins

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un”, which means “Verily we belong to Allah, and truly to Him shall we return”. We bid farewell to Charles Salahuddin Dockins who departed from this world on Monday February 17, 2025, at the age of 78. He was a pillar of strength for his family and friends. Today we commemorate his remarkable life and the memories we cherish. Charles Dockins paralegal, father, stepfather and husband was born on February 4, 1947, in Cambridge, Maryland to Edward Jones and Shareefah Salahuddin. After graduating from high school, he did a small stint in the Air Force. Upon completion of a bachelor’s degree, he worked as a paralegal. With this knowledge he was able to assist friends and family. As an avid chess player and seeker of knowledge Salahuddin was often called on for advice. Saladin married his wife Daa’iyah Waheed on February 8th, 2008, in Philadelphia, PA. Where they shared a 25-year partnership. He was proceeded in death by his Father Edward, his mother Shareefah, his son Wali McCoy. He is survived by his sons Khalid Robertson, Hassan Doss, and Shareef Robertson, He had a close relationship with his stepdaughter Aneesah Waheed and his cousins Peaches and Mike and friend Dave. He is remembered by a host of family and friends who loved him as well
