The Life and Celebration for Dwayne Lamour Wilson Dwayne passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 one week shy of today, his 54th birthday. Dwayne was born in Stratford, New Jersey to the late Mitchell Wayne Smith, Sr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Lorraine Wilson of Harlem, New York. Dwayne received his education in the New Jersey public school system. As a student of Sterling High School in Stratford, New Jersey, Dwayne displayed exceptional talent as a point guard for the Sterling Knights basketball team. Dwayne's last form of employment was with AAA of South Jersey as a tow truck driver, however he was an entrepreneur at heart and owned several businesses during his life, including a streaming tv service, a taxi company, a commercial cleaning company and a variety store. Dwayne's interests included drawing; a talent he inherited from his father, affiliate marketing, tinkering with electronics and most passionately debating politics from his stance as a conservative patriot. Dwayne was a proponent for justice, despising unfairness and injustice of any kind, and was particularly an advocate for the protection and safety of the innocent; children, animals and those who could not defend themselves. Dwayne never married but had two noteworthy unions. He created a family that lasted thirteen years with the late LaCress Bullock, together they raised her five children Tyriek, T’nae, James, Jade, Jaqwon and the daughter that they had together Dhnaj. Dwayne shared his final twelve years with his partner Leah Harris, becoming a beloved member of her family along with her adult children Trenton and Navise and especially her granddaughter Kintsukuroi. The two spent much of their time traveling and sharing many memorable adventures together. Dwayne leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter Dhnaj Wilson, mother Lorraine Wilson, life partner Leah Harris, brothers Jermaine Wilson and Mitchell Smith, Jr. (Nadiyah Martin-Smith), several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
