Obituary of Carmen Rosa-Ortiz
Please share a memory of Carmen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We gather here today to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Carmen Rosa-Ortiz. A devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. While our hearts are filled with loss, we also find comfort in remembering the warmth, kindness and love she so freely gave to everyone.
Carmen was the embodiment of selflessness, a woman with a heart of gold who always put others before herself. She was the kind of person who made you feel at home with just a smile, who offered a helping hand without hesitation, and whose love knew no bounds.
As a wife to Cuco, she built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. As a mother to her late daughter Carmencita and her two sons Eduardo and Juan-she nurtured her children with wisdom and warmth: always guiding them with her gentle but strong spirit. As a grandmother to her late grandson Giovanni, Mariely, David, Ingrid, Emanuel, Liz and Valerie, and a great grandmother to Anastasia, PJ, Ezra, Lyla, Yael, Abigail and Alitza— she showered them with unconditional love that will forever live in each of their hearts. She extended her love beyond her children and grandchildren, embracing Mayra and Carmencita as daughters, not just daughter in laws. To Adrianna and Gwen, she was like a grandmother— loving them as her own.
Carmen was a beacon of light, a source of strength, a woman of God and a reminder of what it truly means to love selflessly. Carmen’s love was evident in every hug, every kind word, and every moment she shared with those around her. She was the rock of our family— the one who held us together through life’s storms and celebrated with us in times of joy.
Carmen’s presence made the world brighter, and though she is no longer with us– her love will continue to guide us through life.
We will miss her laugh, her hugs, her love and the way she made everyone feel special. But we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, watching over us with the same love she always gave so freely.
We love you forever and you will always be with us. Your love, your light and your legacy will never be forgotten.
