Evangelist Gertrude McMiller Calloway gained her wings on June 6,2025 at the age of

88. She was born on November 25,1936 in Dublin, Ga to Willy James McMiller and

Mary London McMiller. Evangelist Gertrude had a loving spirit during her time on this

earth. She loved singing, reading the bible and attending church services. She was a

member of United Fellowship Church of Vineland, NJ.

Evangelist Gertrude enjoyed fishing, shopping at her thrift shops, and eating at her

favorite

restaurants from time to time (Burger King, Golden Pigeon) especially when she took

some of the grandchildren with her. She also loved watching her wrestling shows. She

moved to Philadelphia, PA from Dublin, Ga in 1945, where she attended some area

schools at that time. She then moved to Bridgeton, NJ where she graduated with class

of 1956. She then attended APAK Beauty School in Philadelphia, PA where she

obtained her license for Cosmetology. Her first employment was at Selena’s Beauty

Shop in Bridgeton, NJ. During that time, she met John Calloway, and they got married.

During her time of marriage, she had eight children who she leaves to cherish

memories,

Amanda Wilmore, Stevie Calloway, Kimberly Calloway of Bridgeton, NJ and Daryl

Calloway (Patricia) Vineland, NJ. She also leaves to cherish her brother Edward Curry

of Bridgeton, NJ, sister Wille Ruth McMiller of PA, and sister-in-law, Shirlita Calloway of

Vineland, NJ. Twenty-one grands, forty-two great-grands, three great-great grands and

three God Grands. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also, her

Goddaughters, Noemi Green of Vineland, NJ and Tonui Garnder Calloway of Bridgeton,

NJ.

She is predeceased by her husband John Calloway, grandmother Mary London, her

mother

Mary London McMiller, Grandfather Phil London, her children, Zelda Ouma, Gregory

Calloway, Jerry Calloway and John Calloway Jr., sisters Wille Mae Sherman and Vernell

Welcher, her brothers Lee London and James McMiller.
