David Emmanuel George

Affectional known as Poppa was born on September 16, 1959, to the late John Alfred and Dorothy George of Paterson, New Jersey. He was raised by his parents along with his loving grandmother the late Florian Elizabeth Robinson of Paterson, New Jersey.

He received his formal education in the Paterson Public school system. After high school he joined the United States Army. When he returned home from the military, he worked in the construction and plumbing industry for many years.

Poppa lived his life with an open heart, smile, quick wit and a laugh that would light up any room. Poppa had a love for music, history and politics unlike any of his other siblings.

Poppa enjoyed cooking for his friends and neighbors, he enjoyed going to Unity Day in Philadelphia with his mom annually. Poppa was a caring unselfish person that thought about others before himself. He enjoyed going from one food bank to another so he could share whatever he had. He enjoyed walking, meeting new people, always talking about anything that he saw along the way. Most people found him to be infectious with joy and laughter. He loved and cherished his nieces and nephews, but the greatest love of his life came in 1992 when his son Kadeem was born.

David was preceded in death by his parents John Alfred and Dorothy George, his brother Gregory Robinson, Eric George and Bruce Daniels.

He is survived by his son Kadeem Scudder of Paterson, NJ Sister Florian Bethune (Edward) of Willingboro, NJ Brother Michael George (Charlita) of Willingboro, NJ Sister in law Swannette Daniels of Fayetteville, GA Brother Jermone Wallace of Daytona Beach, FL and Gloria Williams (Claudious) of Greensboro, NC. Two Aunts Eugenia Byrd, of Dania Beach, FL and Josephine Dillard, of Dania Beach, FL. A host of loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and one great grandniece, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He also leaves to cherish him his dearest friends and caregivers Artrice Williams and Shelia Pierre-Paul.
