Mary E. Height Obituary

Evangelist–Minister Mary Height Pearson was born on December 26, 1957, to Henry David Murphy and Emma Leola in Hudson County. She was deeply loved by her mother and siblings. Raised by parents who were determined never to settle for less, Mary inherited that same drive and perseverance. Despite many challenges throughout her life, she learned to be triumphant through Christ.

In 2001, Mary accepted her divine calling and became an Evangelist. She attended Bible College at Living Faith Christian Center, Berean School, and Open Bible Faith College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in theology with a major in Divinity. She also received a Certificate of Advanced Studies in recognition of her devoted pursuit of God’s Word. Continuing her education, she went on to receive a master’s degree in psychology from the American International University of New York.

In 2009, Mary was ordained to the offices of Prophetess and Minister. Her ministry took her across the world—beginning in 2001—with missions that reached as far as Africa, where she evangelized, taught, and ministered the Word of God. She was the founder of God’s House Ministries and the author of the published book “Still I Stand: A Journey to Purpose.” Mary was always grateful to God for choosing her as a vessel to win souls for Christ, and she dedicated her life to spreading the Good News wherever the Lord led her.

Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Willie Ann Felder; her father, Henry David Murphy; and her stepfather, Roy Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 18 years, Glenn Pearson; her devoted mother, Emma Williams; her mother-in-law, Odessa Jordan; her sisters, Dr. Rachelle Sutton (Harold), Mary Desiree Alston (Charlie), and Beverly Murphy; in-laws Tracey, Glennie, and Troy; stepson Jonathon Pearson; stepdaughters Nyakasia Height and Cristalina Cruz; grandchildren Na’Kylah, Ka’Nylah, Josiph, Jacob, Jeremiah, and Arial; a special niece, April Anne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
