Sandra Irene Young was born on December 19, 1952 to the late James A. Young and Sarah Young Nathan in King and Queen County, Virginia. She was
affectionately known to family and friends as Sandy. Sandra departed this life
peacefully on December 8, 2025.
She was educated in Camden City School System. She also came to Camden, NJ with her family at an early age where she resided. At the age of 25 she met the love of her life Paul Gariano. Sandra was the youngest of 10 children, They
always called her baby sister
Sandra had a loving kind heart. She was always willing to give a helping hand. She enjoyed being with her family, she also loved to dance. She was always the life of the party. She never wanted to get off the dance floor. She was very
creative, she would make her own Christmas and Birthday cards to give to her family and friends. She loved to sing. She liked all James Brown songs.
She went to church All Saints Evangelistic Missions and Movement. She was also known as Glamour Girl/ Cover Girl by her church family Sandra loved the Lord. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23. She also enjoyed making cheesecakes for the holidays.
Sandra was predeceased in death by her mother Sara Young-Nathan, her father James A. Young. Four sisters Loretta Young-Hohney, Dorothy Young, Rosetta Jones, and Roxanne White. Four Brothers Ronald O. Young Sr., James R. Young, Bejamin Young and Rudolph Young, also her life partner Paul Gariano.
Sandra leaves to cherish her one sister Lenore Vera (Carlos). Two children
Aaron Young, and Angela Young. 8 Grandchildren, Aiyanna Walker, Nyasia Walker, Aaron Young Jr. Zenaijah, Kizee, Alexus Young, Alicia Young, Adrian Young and Arif Young. 11 Great Grandchildren. Two Aunts Bernice Logan and Marcella Lewis. 13 nieces and 23 nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Also a host of extended family and friends.
