Brandon Camillo Holiday, the son of Rosita Camillo Holiday and the late Robert Eugene Holiday
completed his journey January 13, 2026.
Brandon grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey surrounded by numerous family members and
friends. He had a thirst for life and delved into numerous activities. He played baseball, soccer,
pole vaulting, tennis and excelled at volleyball. He went full steam ahead with all his endeavors
and ultimately became a scuba diving and firearm instructor. Brandon was a people person!
Always engaging in friendly rapport with a big smile and jokes. He collected friends wherever he
went. Most importantly, he faced his challenges with determination and a strong resolution to
get the most out of life.
Brandon graduated from Columbia High School and the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
He majored in Marine Biology and in his third year he was selected to further his education at
the marine lab at Duke University. This resulted in employment at NOAA (National
Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration) located in Florida.
Just four hours old, it was determined that he could not survive. From that point on, despite
having numerous medical complications, Brandon defied the odds and went on to live a
productive and meaningful life. He founded a non-profit organization, ADN (Athletes With
Disabilities Network) which focused on veterans, first responders, any and all depressed,
disabled persons struggling to deal with life’s challenges. He became a mentor and provided the
needed outlets to raise self-esteem and self-sufficiency. After losing his leg, he became a
PARAOLYMPIAN, representing the United States and proudly earned medals in rock climbing,
mixed martial arts and kayaking.
His latest business endeavor was The Red White and Blue Canine services in which he trained
service dogs for law enforcement, veterans and anyone in need.
Brandon was indeed exceptional! He never bemoaned his fate or sought pity. He faced his daily
trials with a hearty laugh and a big grin. His six-foot 4-inch stature was small compared to the
height he achieved in a life of good work. Brandon is remembered for a legacy of love and care
for others.
He leaves a loving and devoted partner, Dr. Elizabeth Vogel; his mother, Rosita; brothers Robert
(Alma) and Cory (Jackie); sisters, Kerri and Allyson; aunt Carrie and Darlene; Uncle Alvin
(Habib); Donald and Timothy; nephews Brett, Robert III, Denuem; nieces, Kyra (Melissa)
Chelsea, Zoe, Mya; and many, many cousins and friends
