With deep sorrow and abiding love, the family of Mr. Alister McFarlane announces his passing on April 26, 2026, at the age of 67.
Born on December 2, 1958, in Jamaica, Alister was raised with strong values that shaped the remarkable man he became. In 2006, he migrated to the United States, where he continued to build a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work.
A devoted Christian, Alister lived his faith with sincerity and purpose. He was known for his integrity, his joyful spirit, and his unwavering love for those around him. A true protector and provider, he took great pride in caring for his family, whom he cherished deeply.
A gifted furniture maker and carpenter, Alister brought excellence and craftsmanship to every piece he created; and his work reflected the pride he took in his craft.
Alister also found joy in music and sports. He loved reggae and soul, especially the voices of Dennis Brown, Garnett Silk, Beres Hammond, Alton Ellis, and Luther Vandross. He was an enthusiastic sports fan who followed football and horse racing with passion, proudly supporting Manchester City and the Italian and Spanish national teams.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nadine McFarlane; his sons, Oneil, Omar, and Ryan; and his treasured granddaughter, Sarah, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his mother, four sisters, six brothers, and a large circle of extended family and dear friends.
Alister McFarlane’s legacy of love, strength, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
