For 22 years, he served the Camden City Police Department, earning respect as a steady and compassionate presence whose impact reached far beyond his badge—touching family, friends, colleagues, and the community he proudly served.

Detective Washington was dedicated to uplifting youth, leading programs such as the Police Athletic League (PAL), Junior Police Academy (JPA), school safety initiatives, and outreach for underserved children. He is survived by his son, Foster G. Washington, who carries forward his father’s values and memory. He also leaves behind siblings, not publicly listed, extended family, and loved ones who will cherish him always.
