Obituary

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved [Lynne Barbara “Washington” Jolly} on [June 25, 2026] at the age of [74].

[Barbara as she was called since she was a little girl] was born on [September 13, 1952] in [Philadelphia, PA] to [George “Bobby” Yon and Johnniemay Washington]. Barbara was raised by her loving paternal Aunt Marian “Yon” Bibb. Barbara was known for her [nurturing spirit, sharp intellect, meticulous attention to detail, generosity, sense of humor, and strong dedication to her family.] She made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Barbara grew up in North Philadelphia where she developed a strong sense of survival and perseverance that would sustain her throughout the rest of life. She attended [Simon Gratz High School and Philadelphia Community College]. Barbabra was a loving mother. She married the love of her life Michael and the two raised a family together. Babara later worked as [Teacher’s Aide for Philadelphia Public School System, a Bank Specialist at Chemical Bank, and a Customer Service Specialist at Office Depot]. Barbara had many talents and hobbies such as her ability to “throw down in the kitchen”, growing beautiful plants, catalog ordering, and her love for playing poker].

Above all, [Barbara] treasured her husband Michael, her children Ivy and Quincee and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her [loving heart, wisdom, laughter, strength, and nurturing spirit].

Family

Left to cherish her precious memories are Spouse Michael Jolly, daughter Ivy Meachum (Edward Meachum whom she affectionately nick named “Rock”), Son Quincee Jolly (Sherwanna), Stepdaughter Renee Green, Stepson Michael Jolly (wife) Grandson Brandon Jolly (Trish), Granddaughter Jameca Jolly (Cato Yancey), Asiy’anna Jolly, Tiarra Jolly, Saquan Jolly, Jadyn Meachum. Step-grandchildren; Kayla Brewer, Lyniqua Edwards, Amber Jolly, Mikayla Jolly. Great-grandchildren; Cameron Jolly, Chase Jolly, Mekai Yancey, Halo Jolly, Haven Jolly. Aunt Marian Bibb; and a host of other cherished family members and friends.
