Obituary of Dennis Rivers

Dennis Rivers left this earth to meet God on Friday, October 28, 2016. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 18, 1957, Dennis attended Atlantic City Public Schools. After high school, Dennis joined the United States Marine Corps where he became a professional boxer, winning the Golden Glove Award. For years Dennis worked in the Atlantic City Casinos as a dealer but finally settled to do what he loved, brick laying. Dennis met and married his soul mate, Marion, in 1984. Out of this 33 year union three lovely children were born. Left to mourn him are his wife; Maria, two sons; Naim of Vineland, NJ, Jamar of Atlanta, Georgia, one daughter; Natasha Emiliao (Christian), his first grandson, his mother; Elizabeth Ellis, his father; Dempsey Ellis, two brothers; Darryl (Alesha) Rivers of Richmond, Virginia and Ken Rivers of New York, two sisters; Terry Morris of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Tracy (Mark) Jones of Dallas, Texas and a host of nieces , nephews and cousins. Dennis was predeceased by his brother; Hamilton (Helen) Rivers of Las Vegas, NV.
