Obituary of Derrick Leron Bush

Derrick Leron Bush was born on Sunday, November 18, 1973 to Deacon Ennis Benson Bush and Deaconess Alberta (O’Neal) Bush in Jersey City, NJ. He departed this life on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Kennedy Hospital of Washington Township, NJ after a long illness. Derrick was the youngest of five children and simply loved being around his family. He was well known by the nick-names: Dee, Pumpkin Pie, Moo-Moo and Deek and he smiled affectionately when he was called by either one. Growing up, he enjoyed playing basketball, playing in the swimming pool and listening to music. He was an uncle that watched his nieces and nephews grown with adoration in his heart. Derrick had a smile that could light up the room and always found security and safety within the comfort of his family. Derrick loved the Lord and was taught early in life about Jesus Christ. As an adult, Derrick looked forward to going to church and participating in each service. He was a member, with his parents, Deacon and Deaconess Bush, at Christ Care Unit Missionary Baptist Church in Sicklerville, NJ from 2001 until his untimely departure. He said a prayer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with a family member each night before he went to sleep. Derrick leaves behind to mourn: his parents: Deacon Ennis Benson Bush and Deaconess Alberta Bush, siblings: Sherrie Teresa Livingston (David), Clayton Leonard Bush, Sr. (Tonya), Ennis Keith Bush (Tara) and TaJuan Bush. Also mourning are his nieces and nephews: Richard Walls II, Sheresa A. Walls, Clayton L. Bush, Jr., Tanisha J. Bush, Sywane K. Bush (Kaylin), and a host of Great Nieces and Nephews, Aunts Uncles and Cousins that love him dearly.
