On December 9, 1977 Juanita Lynn Kato was born, raised, and educated in Camden, NJ. Lovingly known to family and friends as “Kato” or “Nita”. She was born at Cooper Hospital to the late Ethel Kato and Cornell Carter. Juanita attended Woodrow Wilson High School, graduated and achieved a basketball scholarship. Her passion was sports and throughout her journey at Woodrow Wilson she also was a member of the track and field team. Family was very important to Juanita and she loved them dearly. She was a hard worker who maintained a career in the field of health care and was always dedicated to her duties. Her career also included a position at J&J Snacks as the Coordinating Auditor. Kato loved cooking , no matter the occasion. That's what made her happy. Her personality was out of this world. Her smile lit up the room, and her energy brought life to other people. She always puts others before herself. That was just the kind of person she was. Juanita leaves to cherish her memory; Daughter Vanity, and Son Jeremiah and Grandson Josiah ( Stinkerbutt) three brothers Killiam, Malcolm and Zion, one sister Chanel, niece and nephew Killiam and King Killiam, Grandmother “ grandma Wagner “, Stepmother Linda and a host of loving family and friends.
