Obituary of Alexander Hamilton Thomas, Jr

Please share a memory of Alexander to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Obituary Alexander Hamilton Thomas, Jr., son of Alexander, Sr. and Frances Thomas, was born April 1, 1967. Alexander or “Junior” as he was called, attended H. B. Wilson Elementary School and Morgan Village Middle School in Camden, NJ. Upon completion of middle school, Junior attended Pennsauken Vocational and Technical High School where he discovered his passion for cooking in Culinary Arts classes. Junior loved cooking and could cook just about anything. If there was something he thought he might like but had never cooked before, he made it his business to find out how to make it. He was always cooking and sharing food with family, friends, and co-workers. He cooked like he had a house full of people instead of just him. That’s the way he liked to do it. Alexander was an easy-going man who really loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could, especially when the family would get together during holidays. During these times, Junior would let everyone else do the cooking and he would sit back and enjoy himself, eating until he could eat no more. Junior worked at various jobs during the years, mostly cooking. At the time of his death, he was employed at Goodwill Industries where he had been employed for the past 2 years and had just received a promotion. He was very well-liked at his job and his co-workers had only good things to say about him. Alexander joined Gatekeeper Kingdom Impact Ministries in 1990 and was still a member upon his death. He loved and always spoke highly of his pastor, Dr. James. It was under Dr. James’s leadership where Junior became rooted in the word of God. Alexander, Jr. will be greatly missed by not only his family but many, many other people. Alexander, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his parents: Alexander, Sr. and Frances Thomas; 4 sisters: Rita, Kim, Sherrell, and Tanisha; 4 uncles; 2 aunts; a special niece: Ryanette; a special nephew: KJ; special friends: Veronica, Vernyce, and Kadijah; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lovingly Submitted, The Family
