Stephanie Williams, 58, of Durham, NC, passed away on October 5, 2024. Stephanie was born in Camden, NJ, on November 14, 1965, to Amy Rebecca Williams and Eddie McCray. She attended Camden High School and remained a resident of Camden County until she moved to Durham, NC.

Stephanie was dedicated, loyal, and reliable in her work. In 2016, she began working at Duke University, where she formed strong bonds and lasting friendships. She remained a Duke University employee until her passing.

While battling illness, Stephanie never let her faith in God waver. She remained prayerful and faithful in the name of the Lord. Stephanie was known by family and friends as a protector. Her sense of humor, straightforward personality, and positive energy will be deeply missed.

Cherishing her fond memories are her sons, Tumaini Brown and Jayquon Tayborn; four grandchildren, Zyameer Myhand, Kimora Myhand, Kamari Amir Brown, and By’Aire Maurice Williams; and her siblings: Thomas “J.T.” Williams (Sharon) of Greensboro, NC; Susie “Lois” Williams of Camden, NJ; Marilynn (Williams) McRae of Raleigh, NC; Eric Williams (Meka) of Camden, NJ; Teresa “Tracy” Williams of Camden, NJ; Michael Williams of Durham, NC; and Pamela Williams of Camden, NJ; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Amy Rebecca Williams and Eddie McCray; her son, Bryant (Boobie) Williams; her sister, Regina (Williams) Hill; and her niece, Claudette Williams.
