I am deeply saddened by Lorenzo's passing. As a colleague, I witnessed firsthand the dedication and warmth he brought to his role as an higher education professional . He was more than an advisor; he was a mentor and friend to students and colleagues alike, always willing to listen, guide, and support those around him. His kindness and commitment touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on our campus community. He will be greatly missed, and I feel grateful to have worked alongside him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Lorenzo, you are truly one of a kind. Your passion for students and others in general is something I have brought with me through my career. You were always inspiring, funny, and kind to everyone you worked with. I appreciate all you taught me about being a higher education professional and all around good person (not to mention that Manhatta, Kansas exists). I wish your family and friends comfort in their memories with you. We lost a truly great one and one of a kind. Your legacy will live on in all the lives you touched throughout the years. Trevell (Lorenzo) has always been the very best friend to Johnny and I since our days at Kstate. He introduced us and he was always loyal to our relationship. He was in our wedding, supported our marriage and our kids, had long phone calls with us, visited us annually and always knew how to surprise Johnny with a fun day of golf. His love for people and his generous heart was infectious. He never ever complained. He never ever showed judgment or hatred for others. He was always loyal, honorable and hard working. He was reliable and I honestly don’t know another friend like that in my marriage. Johnny and I will miss him deeply. We haven’t stopped listening to music he liked or sharing memories we had of him. He was a true gift from God. Thank you to all who were a part of shaping Trevell into the wonderful man he was. I will never forget him or our quality friendship. Rest Peacefully in Gods arms now. We Love you T!! :(
