Q: What will you miss most about Barbara?
A: I will miss the time Aunt Barbara and I shared together in prayer and the many conversations we had about life. Growing up, the Payton crew was more like siblings than cousins and your Mom was more like a co-parent than an aunt. I will forever hold tight to the blessing she was to me, the joy of loving her, and the privilege of calling her my Aunty.

Barbara worked with me at BPUM Child Development Center in 1986. She was a beautiful, kind and loving person. She would go out of her way to help you. I met Barbara again at the Senior Center in Blackwood in 2022 and she didn’t change. I was blessed to have known Barbara. She always spoke of her family. Barbara’s family was blessed to have a loving and caring mother like her. I send condolences and many prayers to the family. From Olga Sellers-Gibson

Mom, the physical touch, the eye sight of your face, and the soothing sound of your voice has faded away but the presence of your love, and the memory of your smile, is in my heart forever. When missing you hurts, I’ll go to a quiet place and remember you again and again. Lovingly submitted, your daughter Joyce

Wow! What can I say? I’ve been knowing the Payton family most of my life. I reflect back on the days of living on 6th street. Fun days! Ms. Barbara, and my mom would spend time laughing and talking for hours. She will be missed! Praying for the entire family! ❤️
