Debra Lynn Beale Obituary

Debra born June 22, 1955, was the cherished daughter of Marva and J’lynn Still. She was educated in the Camden School System and proudly graduated from Camden High School before furthering her education at St. Joseph University.

Debra married Clifton Beale and together they raised A loving son, Brian Still-Beale. Over the course of her distinguished career, Debra dedicated 38 years of service to the United States Department of Defense as Contracting Officer, retiring in July 2019.

A devoted member of New Mickle Baptist Church from her baptism as a young lady until her passing, Debra was actively involved in various church ministries. She found joy in singing with the junior choir and the combined choir and served as a missionary, where her kindness and generosity shone through as she baked hundreds of desserts for dinners served to the homeless. Her commitment to the church extended to her roles as a member of the Willing Workers and as Church Clerk from 1990 to 2022.

Debra had a zest for life, particularly in the summertime, when a day at the beach brought her immense joy. A profound lover of music, she once playfully challenged her husband to join her on the first Tom Joyner cruise to see Jeffrey Osborne, her favorite artist declaring she would go solo if he declined. Debra called, "Munch" by her beloved husband, loved to travel with Cliff, as well as dance, famously doing the two-step.

When the music was on, Brian would always catch them moving and grooving to the classics. Debra also loved to do her "roach routine" when stealing food off Cliff's plate. Debra loved her son! She took Brian to see the Wiz and when they were walking to the subway, helped Brian to discover his love of video games as they passed flashing lights and saw an arcade. She took him in, and the rest is history!

In addition to her love for music, Debra enjoyed baking, cooking, and reading. Her meticulous nature was evident in her precise record-keeping, a testament to her dedication in all aspects of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Beale. She leaves to mourn her son Brian Still-Beale (Rasheeda), sisters Terri Cooper and Andrea Still, grandchildren Bryannah, Tamia, Brian, and Kamiya, great grandchildren, Say'Lore and Shiloh, nieces Andrea and Kimberly and a host of family and friends.

Debra Lynn Beale will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her nurturing spirit, and her boundless love for family and community.

She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and joy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts. Loving Submitted by the Family
