Michael Eugene Mitchell Obituary

On May 19, 1964, Michael Eugene Mitchell was born to Gladys Divens and Alonzo Juan Mitchell at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael attended Camden High School from 1980 to 1982, before that he attended Pennsauken Vocational High School from 1978 -1980. His earlier school days were at Bonsall Elementary and Morgan Village Middle Schools.


After graduating from high school, a few years later, Michael enlisted into the Navy. He served in the Navy for four years earning a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Navy Good Conduct Award, honorably discharged in 1987. While in the Navy, Michael served as a System Organizational Maintenance Technician and traveled to many countries in the world. Michael owned his own business (Rademan Audio Visuals) installing audio visual systems for government and corporate businesses for a successful twenty years.


Michael was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the Washington Wizards. A man of deep Christian faith, read Our Daily Bread devotionals daily, and tried to follow what the Bible teaches us. He had a loving and generous soul that would always be there for anyone who needed him with no questions asked.


Michael is survived by Mykel D. Mitchell (son), Toylicia Mitchell (daughter), Kalisha Catlett (daughter), Gladys Mitchell (mother), Charles E. Mitchell (brother), Mark J. Mitchell (brother), Atiba Mitchell (brother), Tamu English (sister), Tonia King (sister), five grandchildren, two aunts, four uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
