Just a Step Away was Love!!
I remember upon you arriving as a neighbor
There was always a sound of laughter upon my windows
I could always know that you were happy hearing the exciting laughter
Among your family and friends
Your love for your family was so much in heart
And you always cherish the moments that each of them shared with you
You became my friend, my sister, and in some terms of chatting a mother
We shared so many stories and oh how we loved to meet in the morning
As early as we rose each morning for that wonder cup of coffee and
To sit upon the wonderful sounds of nature
Singing to our ears
Our great times of the possums, squirrels, and last but not least the raccoons.
Spending our time in the yards cutting and trimming trees,
Raking leaves, cutting grass, we spent so much time together
And we enjoyed sharing responsibilities of each other as neighbors.
You were a great mother, the best wife a man could ever have and love.
I treasured your great ways of care, love and concern of being a wife and mother.
I can hear you saying time to cook or girl I been up since this morning cooking my
Sunday meal.
I was always invited to share those great meals with you and Gene, knowing I was not such a cook all the time and a no time cook, the two of you always looked after me.
You were always on time, the holidays, birthdays, and just wanting to always have a good time in life.
Sometimes we would just take steps just to get away from our frustrations of life
We were so able to just caress each other and know that it was going to be alright.
My mind ponders with just too many memories of my steps to your house.
So far well my friend, will be thinking of you always !
