Obituary of Paul Edward Dunbar

Paul Edward Dunbar, 60, of Camden County, New Jersey, passed on June 2, 2016. He was born to William Dunbar, Jr. and Elizabeth Hickson on May 15, 1956 and lived most of his life in New Jersey.
Paul was an excellent carpenter and member of Carpenter Union 1578 of South Jersey for over 15 years. He later started his own business. A creative man, Paul enjoyed building things and hosting events that brought others joy, harmony, and laughter. A very talented pianist and drummer, he sometimes performed with local celebrities in the late 80s and early 90s. Volunteering in his community was another passion of Paul’s. He dressed as Santa Claus to bring holiday cheer at local children hospitals as well as mentored and empowered young men from Camden County. He was also a dedicated member of Bethany Baptist Church for several decades.
Traveling and seeing the world was an enjoyment of Paul, especially when accompanied by family, friends, and his loving dogs, Coco and Kiwi. Paul was passionate about his family and their legacy. He faithfully volunteered time and leadership to support the Williamson and Moody Family networks. His genuine laugh and unceasing determination to enjoy all of life will be remembered and missed.
Paul was predeceased by his sister, Lucille, and brother, David. He was a beloved father, grandfather, godfather, brother, cousin, nephew, friend, mentor, and neighbor. He is survived by his four children: Robert Weidman, Samantha, Jessica, and Paul C Dunbar; four grandchildren: Keiran, Jr., Kaden, Konnor, Kyrie, his older brothers, Robert and William, and his twin, John. Paul’s memory will also be cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. He leaves behind many meaningful relationships, as he made friends and family in each place he journeyed.
