Obituary of Charles Thomas Blount

Charles Thomas Blount, Jr. was born to the late Charles Thomas Blount, Sr. and the late Cloreda Selby Blount, on March 256, 1953, and raised in Dividing Creek. Charles attended the Bridgeton Public School Systems. He attended Apostolic Church of the Lord, Jesus Christ, where he received the Lord. Other places of worship were Cecil Deliverance Tabernacle and New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
He was employed with Laurel Pharmacy, which inspired him to enroll in Rutgers University to be a pharmacist. He continued with Laurel Pharmacy for a two-year internship. Other places of employment were Murbecks in Bridgeton and Tenneco in Clayton, where he also attended school for tool and dye maker and
received his certification. While working at Tenneco, he met his wife, Margaret. They were joined in holy matrimony in 1993. He continued to work there until the plant closed. He worked for PDS Trucking and later Gemini Trucking, where he remained until his disability retirement.
He departed this life at Inspira Hospital in Vineland, on June 18, 2016, after a short period of illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret Blount; one stepson, Keith Cuff, Sr.; seven grandchildren; and eight great grands. Seven sisters: Claudia Blount-Turner; Linda Blount; Terry Blount; Pamela Blount-Elliott (Howard}; Alphfia Blount, all of Vineland; Valerie Ling (Ulysses); Doreatha Gibbs; both of North Carolina. Three brothers: Timothy Blount, Sr. (Audrey) of Vineland, NJ; Raymond Lee Mann (Patricia) of Georgia; Willie Thomas Gibbs of New York; two sisters-in-law: Patricia Williams of Pennsauken, NJ; Elaine Reed of Erial, NJ and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
