Obituary of Lorraine Lee Rogers
Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lorraine Rogers was born on January 23, 1954 to the late Annie Mae Marrow and Thomas Walter McCants in Manhattan, New York.
As a child, her family moved to Glassboro, New Jersey, where she was educated in the Glassboro Public School System. She was employed by Ancora Hospital, and later worked as a Home Health Aide for the Elsmere Genesis Program of Glassboro, New Jersey for over 20 years.
Lorraine also known as Lolo, raised her four lovely children, but she was mother to all that knew her. She was well-known for giving her heart to children and telling jokes. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, listening to music. Dancing the night away was also something she enjoyed, dong the Cha-Cha, the Bop, and dropping it like it’s hot.
Her memory will live forever in the hearts of her four children; Earl McCants of Glassboro, NJ; Andre McCants (Michelle) of St. Petersburg, Fl; Tracey McCants-Barrett (Darron) of Glassboro, NJ; Stacey McCants (Archie) of Sicklerville, NJ; two special friends who were like daughters, Betty Diggs and Sheila Stanback; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five god-children; Orris Gaines, Lakeisha Posey, Naffesse Gaines, Catherine Brooks, and Nadine Davis; two truly great friends, Nadara Hinton and Richard Holsey. Two best friends deceased Julandra Mears and Myrtice Jackson. Last but certainly not forgotten her companion and friend David Allen Person, and a host of family and friends
