Antwon was one of my good friends and he went to school with me in 7th grade at Oakridge Middle School. I remember the first day he was there he brought this clipboard. And I asked him I said "hey man what's the clipboard for". And he said "man I'm trying to see if I could get some girls numbers". So I thought he was a really funny guy. But in 7th grade me and Antwon were in the same gym and homeroom class. And we would always talk about NBA and basketball. In 7th grade tryouts the night that I didn't make the team he came to me after he made the team and said, "hey man your good, don't let this dumb mistake by the Coach get to you. We'll work together after this season is over and get you where it's not if you make the team or not it's if you'll start or not". He was just such a good friend to me and he encouraged me to be the best me that I can be. And now for every game I always write on my shoe (RIP Antwon my brother). It was sad seeing that he had to move away. But when I heard that he was gone it was one of the worst news that I've heard in my whole life. And I'm not sure if I would even still be playing basketball if it wasn't for him. And me and him know that everytime I'm on that court, he's there right beside me. And forever he will be. I pray to all the friends and family of Antwon. God rest his soul.

I give my condolences to the family & friends of Antwon. As for myself, being a close friend of his, i miss him so much, he was such a good friend. At Oakridge Middle School in 7th grade he would give me hugs everyday & sometimes would even get in trouble for being "out of bounds" while giving me a hug. He was so sweet & i wish i could've hugged him one last time. Antwon was nice to everybody & was amazing at football. Rest In Heaven ManMan.

Antwon was a student that I was blessed to get to know in the seventh grade at Oakridge Middle School in Clover, SC. He always had a smile for me and worked hard at whatever I gave him. It was not always easy, but he never gave up and let me know how much he appreciated the help. He faced many challenges but had such potential. It was my hope that he would someday reach his potential. I will pray for all who loved and cared about him and will miss that radiant, happy face that I was blessed to know.

I was one of Antwon's 7th grade teachers last year in Clover. From the moment Antwon joined us at Oakridge Middle School, I knew there was something special about him. Antwon was in my mentor group, as well as in my math class. Throughout the year, I got to know Antwon very well and he quickly became one of my favorite students that I have ever taught. Antwon possessed an unlimited potential and was so bright and very determined when he put his mind to something. His fun and outgoing personality always kept us entertained and smiling. I loved watching him excel athletically and academically. In the very short time that I got to spend with Antwon, he made such a significant impact on my life. I am so grateful for the time that I had with him. Please know that I absolutely adored Antwon. Not a day has gone by that I have not been thinking and praying for you all.

Antwon was a student of mine in 7th grade. He would always begin his day with me, and I was very fortunate to have him because he always had a smile in his face and made me laugh. Antwon was a very intelligent young man... In his own way, and a great athlete. I loved him with all of my heart, and certainly enjoyed having him in my class. I learned from him each day, and I am grateful for that. I will pray for the family, and will certainly miss the smiles and laughs he brought or my face! May God comfort his family, be with you all, and wrap His loving arm around each of you. With love and prayers to all of you, Mrs. Atkins, Teacher, Oakridge Middle School, Clover, SC

Antwon was a student at my school. I did not teach him, but did talk with him on several occasions. Once you got to know him, he was very polite and it was day to see what a special young he was. I am sending prayers to everyone effected by this tragedy.

Our son James and Antiqoun's played basketball together in the driveway many days on end here in Lake Wylie SC. They took 2nd in a 3 on 3 tournament last year. It was always a pleasure to be around Antiqoun's as he was so polite and good hearted. James was looking forward to his return and now suffers a very heave heart. We all do at the Francisco house. He will be severely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless you all.

Antiqoun's was a special person. I had the honor of being his teacher for one year, and he was such a pleasure to talk with. He would start conversations that really made you think. I don't know if many people saw this side of him, but he often started conversations about social issues that showed a depth of thought and understanding that some adults don't have. He was also a talented athlete and had a good heart. He will always be one of my favorite students and hold a special place in my heart.
