James Edward Kirtz, Sr. was born on February 28, 1969 to Ruthie Lee and Willie B. Kirtz, Sr. in Philadelphia, Pa. He passed on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He grew up in Camden, NJ and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1987. James attended Lincoln Technical Institute for two years. Working as a cook for Church Farm School, James began looking for advancement. He became a construction worker in 1991 for Local 332 Labors District Council at Allen Brothers. In 1996 he joined AB&S Masonry Corp., Local 542, as an Operator Engineer until 2013. A kind, giving, and loving person, James was liked by everyone he encountered. He used his great sense of humor to build relationships. One of the things people always remembered about James was his beautiful amazing smile and his big heart. He loved sports, football and basketball. His favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and the 76ers. Sport jerseys were a major part of his wardrobe. James was predeceased in death by his father, Willie B. Kirtz, Sr. and his mother, Ruthie Lee Kirtz. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Titanya T. Kirtz; his children: James E. Kirtz, Jr., Madison T. Kirtz, and Matthew R. Kirtz; two brothers: Michael B. Kirtz, Willie B. Kirtz, III; five sisters: Frances L. Barrett, Lashel Barrett (Ronelle D.), Vivian L. Foster (Fredrick), Lisa M. Kirtz, Cynthia A. Kirtz; mother-in-law, Constino McKenzie, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
