I had the great pleasure of meeting Cleveland years ago. He was one of the kindest men I have ever met and he always had the biggest smile on his face. Deepest condolences to his family. May your memories keep him alive in your hearts and minds.

Sending you all my prayers. Uncle Cleve was so sweet and kind to my family. My dad loved him like a brother, so he has always been like an uncle to me. I saw him just a few months ago when he came through Atlanta. I had just gotten to my father's house and didn't know whose truck was parked in the driveway. As soon as I walked in, though, I knew who was in town again...he and my father were laughing (or arguing) about something (as always). His laugh and smile were contagious. His personality and his smile were larger than life! I said to him that it was great to see him again, and he replied that it was good to be seen. I didn't know that when he gave me a big bear hug that afternoon, it would be the last time I would see him. During that visit, he even went to see my daughter at gymnastics, and she ran up to him and gave him a big hug. He was an amazing friend to my dad, and I am thankful that he was a part of our lives for over 30 years. He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May God bless you and comfort you.
