Helen V. Johnson, 62, or Millville, New Jersey, went home to be with the LORD on Saturday, November 5, 2016 while at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey.
She was a Port Norris, New Jersey native, who was born to the late Clarence E. Thomas and Margaret Watson Thomas of Port Norris, New Jersey. Helen was a fun loving person with a heart of gold. She was very outspoken and straight to the point. She, above all things, loved the LORD! She enjoyed shopping with her sister, watching movies on the Sci-Fi Channel, Lifetime and the Home Shopping Network, not to mention she really loved to dance!
Helen was employed by the Woodbine Developmental Center in Woodbine, New Jersey. Later on she worked at Cape May Care Center, Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey until she became ill. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Port Norris, New Jersey where she was baptized and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Combined Choir.
Helen was predeceased by her son; Allen Watson, grandparents; Frank and Edith Harman of Port Norris, NJ, and her grandmother and dear friend; Catherine Johnson, one aunt; Margaret Wise of Port Norris, NJ, four brothers; Freddie Watson of Montgomery, PA, William Howell of Millville, NJ, Frank E. and Clarence E. Thomas of Woodbine, NJ, father-in-law, Charles L. Garland of Vineland, NJ and one brother-in-law, Roy George, Jr. of Port Norris, NJ.
She is survived by her husband; Carter L. Johnson o Millville, NJ, two sons; Robert A. and James D. Watson of Millville, NJ, two daughters; Lisa Smith (Melvin) of Virginia and Christy Johnson of Millville, NJ, one sister; Margaret I. George of Millville, NJ, one goddaughter; Jessica Johnson of Millville, NJ and a special friend and home health aide; Zora Hill of Seabrook, NJ, three sisters – in –law, two brothers-in-law, eight grandchildren, one great – granddaughter, seven nieces, six nephews, twenty four great-nieces and nephews, twelve great-great nieces and nephews and a host of in-laws, cousins and friends.
