Please share a memory of Essence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Essence Unique Ellis aka "Esso" age 40 , was born July 6, 1976 to the union of Robert Taylor and Linda Ann Williams. Look up in the sky “it's a bird it's a plane” no, it's Jesus coming to escort Essence home to glory on December 9, 2016. Essence graduated Bridgeton High School in 1994. Essence wore many hats. She was employed at the Juvenile Detention Center as well as a Hall Monitor at Bridgeton High School. She was last employed as a Med-Tech and CNA, for Elwyn, NJ until 2009. Essence suddenly became diagnosed with Polyomisitis which caused her disability. Essence was so passionate about helping other people. She would give you the shirt off her back.” Esso” would go to the store and purchase bags of clothes, groceries, and shoes and give them to people who were in need. She was a dog lover… owning about 30 dogs including Pomeranians and Pitbulls. Essence loved laughing, shopping, joking, family picnics and talking for hours. Her favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Even though she was the lime light, she had a serious side to her, she didn't play when it came down to serving God. Her favorite sayings were "Too chaotic", "May your soul be blessed", "You crazy!","Say it one more time", and "Leap frog leap". She had such a powerful calling upon her life that when she opened up her mouth to sing demons would tremble and flee. Her favorite songs were “I Don't Mind Waitin”,” Break Every Chain” and “Open the Flood Gates of Heaven.” Essence was brought up in the LORD at an early age and was a member at True Vine Pentacostal Church in Gouldtown, NJ. She was a current member as a Prophetess at Soul Harvest Church under leadership of Pastor Kija Mack. Essence met her companion, Tyrone Ellis, in 1994.They were joined together in marriage in 1998 and to this union five children were born. Tyrone and Essence had their share of ups and downs but nevertheless her and her boo were inseparable. Even when things got rough they never said good bye. She leaves with us through “Mom Mom” her fight,” But But” her uniqueness, “Lee Lee” her craziness, “Man Man” her strength, and “Yaun Yaun” her sensitivity. Most of all Essence loved being with her family. She was the backbone that would never break, the “ bridge over troubled waters”, the light in a dark place, the seasoning to the food! She always knew if God was for her it didn't matter who was against her! She leaves to mourn, her husband; Tyrone Ellis of 24 years, five children Essence Ellis, Tyqwasia Ellis, Tyaaliya Ellis, Tye Ellis, And Tyanna Ellis.
