Obituary of Joyce Y. Williams
Joyce Yvonne Williams was born October 13, 1952 to the late William Anderson Byrd & Selmer Williams. Joyce attended Paulsboro School Systems and graduated in 1970. She began her life time career job at RBC Wealth Management in 1981 until present. After a series of health issues Joyce Passed on September 18, 2017 at home unexpectedly.
Joyce was the third of three children, preceded in death by her two brothers the late Sherwood Williams Byrd & Anderson Douglas Byrd. Also preceded in death by her beloved Uncle Domlin Williams.
Joyce was known by all as one of the kindest people you will ever meet. To know her was to love her. Joyce was a thoughtful spirit always making sure that everyone around her was comfortable. She loved to celebrate holidays. Christmas however was her favorite she had ornaments that spanned generations.
Joyce had three favorites a nice cup of tea...a cold Pepsi and her late brother Andy's cooking. An Abundance of stationary always sending emails to spread her positive energy and laughter to all. But her greatest love of all was her Faith. She had years of service as secretary at Second Baptist Church. One of her favorite scriptures was "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.
Joyce was full of courage & determination even during times when her health was a challenge she would continue to press on. Often you'd hear her say one of her favorite quotes was " it is what it is" Joyce was a key figure of our family & had extensive knowledge of our family history. She will be missed beyond words.
Joyce is survived by her Nephew Andre Byrd Sr ( Diana) of Mt. Laurel NJ. Her Niece Traci Byrd Frederick(Jamel) of Sewell NJ. Great Nieces Gabrielle Owens, Jalique Frederick & Kayla Byrd (God Daughter). Great Nephews Andre Byrd Jr." AJ" and Kevon Byrd. God Daughter Camille Jackson. A host of Cousins and Cherished Friends. Especially her devoted work family at RBC.
