Saturday, January 28, 2012, one of God's children received her call to come home. Annabelle Turman departed this life at 12:40 AM at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Born in Farmville, Virginia, to G.H. Saunders and Annabelle (Davis) Saunders, on November 16, 1927, she was the youngest of seven children. Annabelle received her education in Prince Edward County Schools in Virginia. She married Rufus Turman, Sr., on January 29, 1950. From this union, three children, Nina, Rufus, Jr.; and Terrance were born. Annabelle worked many years at Feitâ's Factory sewing army uniforms, and after retiring, she worked in Stone Harbor, NJ for two families as a domestic. She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Nina (Wayne) Hendricks and Terrance (Yolanda) Turman. She was Nana to four grandchildren: Erinn, Kyle (Renee), Lauren, and Terrance II; three great-grandchildren and one special great-grand: Cyrus, Jaiden, Kylee and Demetrius. She is survived by sisters; Marie Kindred and Jenny Pride, brothers-in-law, Augusta and John Turman and sister-in-law Lafayette Jowers. She is predeceased by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, her husband Rufus and son Rufus, Jr. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her First Baptist Church of Woodbine family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 9-11 AM with funeral services starting at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Woodbine, Woodbine, NJ. Interment will be private.
