Obituary of Rosemarie Botts

Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rosemarie Miles Botts was born on October 14, 1956, to the late Harry and Ruth Miles. Her youth was spent in Washington, DC among loving family, friends and neighbors. Rose attended the neighborhood public schools and earned an undergraduate degree from the University of the District of Columbia.

Her forty years of marriage to a U.S. Air Force career airman presented opportunities to travel and live in Florida and Germany before settling in New Jersey in 1984. She and her husband, Bernard, became a God-fearing foursome with their two sons, Baylen and Vernon. From children's tee-ball games through high school and college sports, she was a committed fan at Rancocas Valley High School, Villanova  University and University of Pittsburgh football games in addition to music recitals and other youth activities.

Rose's abiding faith in God and care for her neighbors was displayed in the 16 years of service at the McGuire AFB chapel and 18 years of service that she dedicated to Charity Community Church (CCC) and its various ministries. To say that she was involved in the life of the church would be an understatement. She was more than a supporter and worshipper. As the church administrator and Married Couples Ministry coordinator at CCC she was a teacher of God's word, organizer, encourager and prayer warrior who touched lives throughout the congregation and beyond the church's doors.

Over the years Rose held various positions in education, but for the last eleven years her gifts and talents in the classroom were recognized and appreciated as a special education teacher at the Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Her husband, children, daughters-in-law LaShawnda and Shannon, grandchildren (Landen, Brylen, Emerson and Elijah) and loving relatives and friends will live with unmatched memories. Everyone will have a favorite "Rose" story. Whether we reminisce about her love for good food, horses, the Washington Redskins, movies, shopping, the color "red," or the joyous laughter when she was amused, we have watched a woman of God live life as one of His greatest ambassadors on this earth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Rose Botts to the Charity Community Church, 1950 Old Cuthbert Road, Suite K, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
