Laughfiel McKinley Nicholson Sr. Was born on August 10, 1935 in Halifax, North Carolina to Edward and Lucille Nicholson, Laughfiel met Catherine in the year of 1956.
They joined in marriage on September 6, 1958, out of this union they had three children.
He was employed by Federal Pump on Utica Ave. In Brooklyn, New York.
Six weeks after their marriage he was drafted into the Army were he completed his 2 years of service and received an honorable discharge. He returned to Federal Pump for a while , then about 8 months later Laughfiel was employed at New York City Transit Authority as a Trackman for over 25 years and then retired .
Laughfiel had a heart and soul of gold a very loving husband and father , he was strong , dependable , loving and kind . He was a quiet man , enjoyed telling jokes , going on outings , making anyone around him laugh . He enjoyed his life and his family .
He was always willing to listen and give advice to the best of his ability, never made quick decisions after thinking about the situation only then would he come forward to help you with whatever the problem was .May He Rest In Everlasting Peace Husband , Father, Brother, Uncle GrandFather, Great GrandFather Laughfiel McKinley Nicholson Sr.
He leaves behind to mourn his wife Catherine Nicholson, his 2 daughters Deborah Moore and Renita Nicholson, and Son in law, Percy Moore Sr.; Grandchildren, Lytrese Strickland, Akin Hurdle, David Nicholson and Christopher Nicholson.
