God in His infinite wisdom called Novilla Drummond from labor to reward on November 9, 2018, while at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.

Novilla was born in Accomack County, VA to the late Tom Mills, Sr. and Mary Sue (Wise) Mills.

Novilla was affectionately known as "No-No" or "Nana". She received her education in the Accomack County School System.

Novilla was employed by Shirley and Bernie Brown for a number of years.

Novilla married Vernon Drummond on September 15, 1962. They were married for 56 years until his passing on October 26, 2017.

Novilla joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church in the early 1960's under the leadership of Reverend Pratt until his death, then under the leadership of Reverend Wilbert Russell, Sr, until his passing,and then Reverend David Wyatt Russell, Sr became pastor. She served as a faithful Missionary, Pastor's Aide, and a member of the Usher board until her health began to fail.

For 75 years Novilla celebrated her birthday on November 8, 2018. Then she received her birth certificate and it read December 29th! So she said ," No problem, I will be accepting presents from November 8th through December 29th. Thank you very much."

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter: Lisa (Kelvin) Russell of Newfield, NJ, three sons: Kerry (June) Rodgers, Sr. of Vineland ,NJ and Vernon (Cecelia) Drummond ,Jr. of Arizona.A Goddaughter: Kimberly Drummond of Vineland,NJ. One brother-in-law- Noah Drummond of Vineland, NJ: 34 grandchildren including teo grandsons she raised since birth as her own:Ronald (Paula) Rogers, Sr. and David Wright both of Millville, NJ and two granddaughters that she helped raise: Jessica Renee Drummond and Ja'Lea Novilla Drummond both of Newfield, NJ. 39 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. All Novilla's nieces and nephews were so special and close to her heart and a host of cousins and friends.

Novilla was predeceased by her husband Vernon Drummond, Sr., one son, David Rodgers, one daughter, Nadine Seegers, one grandson, Christian Rodgers, Sr. four sisters: Louise Poulson, Emma White, Bertha Drummond, and Essie Johnson, four brothers: Tom Mills, Jr., Louis Mills, Robert Mills, and Charlie Custis.

Speical acknowledgement to the people who helped Lisa Drummond -Russell in caring for her mother: Jessica Drummond - granddaughter, Tiffany Drummond - niece, Shonya Rhett and Audrey Rolle - special daughters.
