Obituary of Teven J. Williams
To everything there is a season. A time for every purpose under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:2
Teven was born on July 5, 1932 in Camden, NJ, the fifth of seven children born to the late Charles and Minnie (Robinson) Williams. On Tuesday, November 13, 2018 he entered his eternal resting with the Lord.
Teven attended the Camden City Public school system. In his adult years he worked at the Dragon Scrapyard and numerous other jobs. After retiring he had his own business called the “9to5”. Poppa “T” as he was affectionately called by his grands and his son-in-law Richey. He had an infectious laugh and was very funny. No matter whether it was night of day when he left you it was “nite nite”. Grands, nieces, and nephew’s remembrance of Poppa “T”, Uncle Teven was being fooled to eat burnt toast to get curly hair lol. He also had a time to give his words of wisdom and never was apologetic for telling it like it is.
Teven enjoyed vacationing every July in Atlantic City. He would hang out with his buddy Larry whom he mentored as a son/father relationship, he also liked boxing.
Teven loved life, his family and had a special bond for his daughter Iris and his sister Lillie Mae, whom he loved and protected. He also cherished his granddaughter Rochelle and her family as he quietly watched them develop and grow. She was very special to him.
Teven’s best joy and love was his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He knew then where he would spend eternity.
