Obituary of Marva G. Walker

Marva Genevia Walker, age 72 of Camden, New Jersey, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Marva was born on September 7, 1946, to the late Eula Gordon and Edward Thomas. Moreover, raised in Camden, New Jersey with her three brothers and two Sisters. She was educated in the Camden schools system graduating from “The Castle on The Hill,” Camden High School.

Marva was united in Holy Matrimony to Borton Tyrone Walker, Sr ., in 1962, to this union five children were birth.

Marva was given the name of “Blondie” by many of her friends because she loved wearing her blond colored hair. She was also a shopper. Her son BT would drive her from one flea market to another making a day activity of spending time together, and then they would select a place to eat out. It would bring joy to them both. She was a person that loved her children and her family

She worked for many years with the Camden Board of education, in which she retired from and worked for the Marriott after retirement. Whenever you were in Marva presence, she would have a smile on her face and a very contagious laugh that would brighten your day.

 Marva accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and was a faithful member of Promise Deliverance Ministry of Camden, NJ under the leadership of Pastor Edward Owens.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Eula Gordon & Edward Thomas, husband Borton T. Walker, Sr.; Daughter, Pamela Walker; Son, Anthony Walker; Brother, Douglas Gordon; and Sister Regina Thomas

With heavy hearts, we humbly submit to the will of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ whom we give all the Praise unto as we will cherish the memories which will forever be engraved in our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memories, her  (3) son; Borton Walker, Vincent Walker, Curtis Walker,  Daughter, Vincetta Walker, seventeen grandchildren, Vinsisha, Viriyra, Linajah, Vincent, Myaija, Anthony, Jurnee, Sheena, Shanna, Brian, Borton, Jameer, Taneal, Patrice, Taquanne, and Eddie, Marva , Twenty -nine great-grandchildren , Two brothers Orville Gordon, Eugene Thomas, one sister Lolanda Bullard , a special friend, Charles Jones and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
