Obituary of Samuel T. Sims, Jr

Please share a memory of Samuel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Samuel T. Sims, Jr. was born July 17th 1951 in Phila. Pa to the late Samuel Sr. and Jessie W. Sims. He was educated in the Philadelphia School District.

Samuel had two beautiful daughters Tanya and Stacey whom he loved very dearly. He moved to Ocala ,Florida with his dad in his early years, where he worked at a large Fencing Company. He made a great impression as a stella employee, earning recognition of "Employee of the Year"

After years of Florida sunshine Sam missed the change of the seasons and missed his family he moved back to this area.

He was a "MASTER BUILDER AND CARPENTER" by trade. Cars were his passion! In his younger years he gutted and built two 1955 Chevys and replaced every working mechanism. He drove one to Atco Raceway, entered the race and  "Won" !

If you had a car or house in Lawnside or the surrounding    communities more than likely you would have been touched by the works of his hands.

In 2007 he met and married the love of his life Betty Walton, where they continued to reside  in Lawnside. Sam loved his family and especially is cat GiGi!

Sam leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty, two daughters Tanya Peeple (Eddie), Stacey Wright, step daughter Pamela Abney (Lenif)  granddaughter Taylor and grandson Ray. Sisters Barbara Golden and Linda Davis(Jimmy) brother Gregory Sims (Judy) and two nephews Tyrone Golden and Gregory Davis.

Sam will always be remembered for his love of people, family and friends.

Loving submitted, The family.
