Doris Davis, daughter of the late Charles and Maxcener DeBrue, was born on May 10, 1941 in Fairfield County, South Carolina. Doris received her education in Charlotte, North Carolina. She later moved to Philadelphia Pennsylvania where she worked several jobs. She met and married Shelton Davis however no children were born from this union. Throughout her illness she would often speak of the goodness of the Lord and would refer to Him as being her Father. Her faith remained strong until the very end.
