Wilmington, DE – Theodore Mayo, Jr. (Theo) departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Wilmington, DE. He was born March 4, 1986 in Wilmington, DE. He is survived by his father Rev. Theo Mayo, Sr. (Cynthia), birth mother, Nina Mayo, 5 sons, Theo III, David, Christopher, Quan, Jeremiah, sister Lydia Mayo, brother Bennie Williams, stepbrothers Sterlin Roberts, Bishop Jon Jervey (Nailah), Elder Bernard Williams (Patricia), Maurice Williams (DeMeeka), stepsister Olivia Roberts, godbrother Heen Sills Gunner, dear stepmother De’mia Mayo who help to raise him, dear uncle Thaddeaus Mayo, dear niece LeAnna Mayo-Marville, Christine Henderson (mother of his children) and a host of other relatives and friends.
Theo graduated from Howard High School with high honors. He served in the U.S. Army and studied at Delaware State University. He was an activist in the community and owed his own painting business. He loved the Lord Jesus and reading his bible. He loved all kinds of music and being around people. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan all day and all night!
A memorial service to honor Theo Jr. will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Banning Park, 102 Middleboro Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19804 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
