Obituary of William Ellis

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
As it has pleased our Almighty God to call from labor to reward our dear father William Ellis, we bow to Him in humble submission. William Ellis affectionately known as Pop-Pop or Mr. Bill, was born in Metter, Georgia. Candler County to Lucille Ellis. A life-long resident of Willingboro, New Jersey, William was a God fearing man and a kind, gentle soul. He was also very private and loving to all of those around him. His warm and giving heart blessed so many over the years. William never asked for much but would give his last if it meant helping family and friends. All that came in contact with him knew of his infectious laugh and warm smile. He told many stories and could light the room with his jokes, He was introduced to Christ at an early age and held that in his heart. Often times he would sit and have conversations with family about the bible and it's teaching that resonated with him. His joy and love for family was evident in his tales. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a faithful employee as a Dietician at Sacred Heart Manor in Philadelphia, Pa for many years until his retirement. For those that didn't truly know William he was a man that was self-sufficient and never truly complained, so no one knew he was Even while feeling under the weather he still continued to be strong and give a helping hand to so many others in need. That's just the kind of man he was. William was clearly a man who was in favor with the Lord having lived a full and good life, because his passing was blessedly short and when he was released from this Earth, the Lord called him home to rest. William leaves behind to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, his children Vincent Thompson (Shimette), Kimberly Miller (Beau L.), Eric Thompson (Melody Richards), Angela Montgomery, and Mark Montgomery (Deceased). His grandchildren, Andre Wakefield (Natasha)Angelina Wakefield, Marcus Thompson, Charlotte Montgomery, Vincent Thompson Jr., Mark Jones, and Charles Montgomery. His great-grandchildren Tatiana, Elijah, Antonio, Ariana„ and a host of relatives and friends.
