Obituary of Mary L. Bernat

Born Feb 13,1960 to Thomas Bernat and Nancy Yocum Long in Camden, NJ. She passed away after a long illness on April 2, 2020. She was raised by the late Patricia Bernat. Mary is survived by her children Mellisa Spenser, Richard Spenser, Joseph Jones, the late Henry Spenser, siblings Thomas Bernat, Jr., Sharon (Stan) Szumowski, Joseph Bernat, Joanne Marcelline,the late Barbara (Roger)Keeney. Loving grandmother of Leanna, Victor, Lydell and Dayquan Simpson-Jones, Jaylin, Mariah, Richard Spenser, Jr. and Joseph Jones, Jr. Mary grew up in Pine Hill, then moved to Camden where she raised her children with the late Webb Jones. They had a janitorial business. They enjoyed family time, playing cards and antique collecting. Her friends knew her as a very outgoing, friendly and charitable person. In light of the pandemic the funeral was private. A memorial in her honor will be held at a later date.
