Josiah Hardy Green (Joe) was born in Upper Pittsgrove, New Jersey on Wednesday, March 31, 1948 and was called home to be the lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Josiah was the son of the late Anna and Daniel Green. In later years Josiah was raised by Mrs. and Mr. Hardy. Josiah attended school in the Dare town school district and later left school to help his father with the family business. Josiah later met his sweetheart Patricia and they married on Saturday May 29, 1971 and made their home in Woodstown, New Jersey. Josiah and Patricia were blessed with two beautiful daughters the first being Anitra followed by MaCarla 11 months later. Josiah also helped in raising his handsome stepson Dwayne with Patricia. Josiah worked at Heinz Company in Salem, New Jersey for over 15 years as a production worker. Josiah later worked in the Scrap and Metal Industry in Camden, New Jersey for 12 years as a labor. Josiah was a long-time member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey for many years. Josiah enjoyed riding his bike, grabbing a cold one, and socializing with family and friends. Josiah was always the life of the party and was loved by everyone who met him. He would always have something funny to say and his giggle was contagious and always caused you to laugh even when you didn’t want to. Josiah left Camden and relocated to Salem, New Jersey to be closer to his children and grandkids where he enjoyed his remaining years. Josiah loved enacting with his grandkids Shariff, Davon, Malyk, Wuanyay and KwanMar who he loved, and they loved their POP-POP/POPS. Josiah was predeceased by 5 brothers Leroy, Jessie, Peter, Larry, James: 4 sisters Carol, Gloria, Mary, and Louise. He leaves to cherish his memories. his daughters Anitra and MaCarla step-son Dwayne Green; five grandsons Wuanyay, Malyk, Davon, KwanMar and Shariff; 2 sisters Elenor and Betty; one brother Daniel and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
